I was asked more times than I’d like to remember, “Why is there a chair in the logo, shouldn’t it be a table?” The reason for why the church was named the table wasn’t because they really liked tables. It was because they liked what people did around tables. I thought the chair was a good way to push people to see beyond just the name to what it actually meant. Furthermore, the open chair symbolized the churches openness to new people, literally implying that “There is an open seat for you at the table.”
